Missed Harry Potter references

In the art we’re studying in Humanities, there’s an artist named Grunewald and I always think of Grindelwald when I hear that

i was talking to my friend about our favorite trees and i mentioned that i liked willows. he asked me what kind and i said whomping. it took him a while to get it..but at least he got it. 

I asked my friend when we get our A.P. scores and she said it was some time in July and I was like “oh just like they’re our O.W.L.S.”

Today my mom and I did this art show thing and she was saying at dinner that she wants a bigger car or she should get a rack or something for the top and I said she should just put an Undetectable Extension Charm on it and no one appreciated my reference.

I don’t remember how it came up but my friend was saying that he’s really bad at clearing his mind, like before he goes to sleep he can’t stop thinking about stuff and I was like “you’d be really bad at Occlumency” and he had no idea what I was talking about.

One day in AP Biology my teacher was talking about some mechanism that a certain sort of cell has to stop other cells from thinking it is foreign and trying to kill it. He loves Harry Potter too so he was like “it’s like an Invisibility Cloak for the cell” and I laughed and starting going into a mini rant about the possible lack of quality the cell’s cloak could have because there’s only one that doesn’t wear off eventually and that’s Harry’s so if it doesn’t have that one then the cell won’t be hidden for long. He appreciated it somewhat but everyone else just stopped listening once I started talking about it.
